  • SEAMLESS_BGP_MIGRATIONS_GEANT.tar.gz. This archive contains all the configurations generated for and during the GEANT case study. The following directories/files are defined:

    • no_vrfs:

      • initial_configurations: contains the initial (Cisco IOS) configurations for the 26 routers involved in GEANT case study. In the case study, each router is connected to a monitoring node used to inject eBGP routes, monitor the routes announced to the outside world, etc. The configurations of the 26 monitoring nodes are also included.
      • intermediate_configurations: contains the deltas configurations pushed on the network to migrate from state X to state Y.
      • The intermediate configurations are exscript scripts (see https://github.com/knipknap/exscript/wiki). They are used to interact directly with the routers via SSH/telnet.
    • vrfs: This directory contains the files related to VRF-based BGP migrations. As such, only the initial configurations matter.

      • initial_configurations: contains the initial VRF-enabled (Cisco IOS) configurations for the 26 routers involved in GEANT case study. In the case study, each router is connected to a monitoring node used to inject eBGP routes, monitor the routes announced to the outside world, etc. The configurations of the 26 monitoring nodes are also included.
    • geant_final_bgp_topology.py: This file represents the (final) BGP route-reflection topology used in the Geant case study. The topology is represented by the mean of a Python dictionnary. The initial topology corresponds to a classical full-mesh.
    • geant_final_igp_topology.txt: The file contains the IGP topology used in the Geant case study. Format is R1 R2 IGP_weight. IGP weights are supposed to be symmetric.
