Paul-Edouard Bertrand Van Ouytsel

Paul-Edouard is a PhD student in the INL who started in October of 2024, supervised by Olivier Bonaventure. He got his master’s degree in Computer science and engineering at UCLouvain.

His research focuses on the reduction of energy consumption by disabling parts of local networks and dynamically adapting their configurations. He is particularly interested in multi-homing and IPv6 connectivity. The current focus of his research is to expand on switched-homing : a new paradigm for internet connectivity with the goal of combining the benefits of single and multi-homing. He is also interested in low-power protocols such as Thread.
